Teacher Development

At present, the K-12 Department offers a Professional Teacher Development Day at the Annual National Conference. In keeping with the spirit of support for Indian Education, this day is fee free and open to all teachers of American Indian students.

It is through dedicated teachers and their supporters that exemplary programs and methods are developed. AISES in turn is dedicated to supporting teachers of American Indian students in these important efforts. Currently, the K-12 Department is in the process of expanding Professional Teacher Development opportunities to include sessions at the NAISEF held every spring. We will also include teacher development opportunities developed with partners such as SACNAS. As AISES expands Teacher Development opportunities, this site will continue to grow.
