Mark Hakey
2005 AISES Technical Excellence Award
Mark Hakey is manager of IBM’s Process Integration team at Albany Nanotech. Albany Nanotech is a partnership of New York State, UAlbany, and industry, including IBM and other leading semiconductor equipment and manufacturing companies. The mission is to bring leading-edge technology to upstate New York with the resulting educational and economic advantages of that capability, and to provide IBM the most cost-effective and timely path for development of new semiconductor technologies. Prior to this latest position, he held positions in IBM’s Engineering And Technology Services Division , IBM’s Advanced Semiconductor Research Center, and earlier positions in silicon technology development. Mark is a member of IBM’s Native American Leadership Council. He has been working with IBM's NADNG to improve technology awareness and educational opportunities for the Abenaki community. His undergraduate work was done at St. Michael’s College in Chemistry and he attended graduate school at the University of Vermont. He is married and he and his wife Louise have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. |
